Jayhawk joined Dirk Denison Architects while pursuing his B.ARCH at Illinois Institute of Technology, where he was awarded the Alpha Ro Chi Medal and Dwight T. Black Scholarship. He’s filled many roles at the office since graduating, including design, rendering, and coordination for the Mies Crown Hall Americas Prize. His interest in the outdoors inspires his design priority of integrating ecology seamlessly into the built environment.
Beyond DDA, Jayhawk is a volunteer with the Orange Tent Project, which advocates for a supports unhoused people in Chicago. In his free time, he can be found cooking or grilling in his backyard, or jamming out with his mandolin or violin.
